NB cooling
 
hey guys i have an a7n8x board with a really nice tbred 1700xp
anyways i would like to get it to 200mhz fsb and i was wondering what i should do in the way of north bridge cooling to get it there?
sould i get awaterblock for it?
or just go for a hsf combo?

if you have already a watercooling system on your tbred, then i would suggest to add a passiv waterblock on your nb or something of the sort in your loop, otherwise you could go for a big hsf, though i would prefere the watercooling :cool:

Ditto. I just pulled my KX7 out of the dark ages with an old Pentium HS, doubt it'll run @ the timings I want but there you go, with water it might cause it's still hot on the back of the mobo...

Mine never posted @ 200 before exept in dimm4, with the HS it'll post in all the dimms. Experiment with a HS first to prevent being dissapointed dude...

A good HSF will do - and of course a waterblock is always nice. The A7N8X is very stable with a well cooled NB.
The HSF is the noisy solution ;)
