Click to the Antec goodies here Or maybe I should pull a Iraqi Info Minister thing.... "There is no reviews posted, infact there is no interenet, hell we are not even here right now, its all an illusion" m :p |
Nice! Now let's see Yo_Duh's article!
|
BUMP for Yo_Duh's article.

Brian's fan controller (p)review is ready too Ben. Joe has no time to format and upload them and he is only one who knows how to do so.
Next week hopefully a couple of articles! |
Yep next week will be good
I secured a couple days off of work next week ( all free of charge too since I am working so many ****ing hours for the next few days) Some goodies will be posted prolly Thursday night ( I got Thursday and Friday off ) |

I'm sorry, but I just don't get it: ya'll want more articles, be more "active" with reviews and all, tried a monthly then a bi-weekly contest, and only one person has the admin rights to put up an article, and can't do it for a week?
Joe, why don't you appoint someone to assist you here?!? The overhead involved here in reviewing an article reminds me of the TXDOT's planning time for road improvements (Texas Department of Transportation): 5 years!!! |
Ben:
Yes I am eager to see Yo-Duh's stuff posted too. But what you are seeing is the relatively rapid evolution of our jobs over the last year or so. Joe and Brian are constantly concerned about keeping their jobs, and I also go up for review in a couple months. When all our schedules get hectic simultaneously, the site gets slow. The diode calibration stuff I immediately posted into forums for the (few) others interested. I assume the pro/geeks writers would feel cheated if I did the same with their articles... I can't say that learning netobjects or whatever Joe does the site with is really high on my to do list. And even if I did have the programs and know how to use them, I am on a 1995 style PC and internet connection and wouldn't be able to update anyway. So what does that leave? Giving some new person complete admin rights to the site and just telling them to "be good"? Unlikely (ask warpath in the pro/chat about ad banners) Plus I am leaving in 30 mins for 2 day romantic getaway to New Orleans with the wife, so you will just have to wait. :) |
Ben its all quite simple. What pays the bills - my job. NOT procooling (infact my job in many cases pays PROCOOLINGS BILLS...). So, and sorry to be blunt, but ProCooling is a far second in my priorities to real life work that actually pays me, and other real life events I have going on. (infact I got done working a 23 hour day yesterday, and am heading back to work today - sunday- to pull another 18+ hour day. No overtime, no pay, just because it needs to get done and its my responsibility to get it done)
Maybe its hard to understand that someone who runs a website could also have a very serious and demanding job on the outside, but its true. Unlike most kiddie sites where they are run off either: 1. a Scam artist kiddie who has no finnancial obligations to the world and just scams goodies from everyone 2. a Rich kiddie who just gets all he needs from mommy and daddy 3. a Sellout geek who has sold his soul, ass, and website to big companies and turned the site into nothing more than an electronic billboard for advertisements to pay their bills ProCooling is run by grown up professionals.. who all have real jobs, real families, and real life. Its one of the side effects for running a more mature site, is that the people who run it obviously have other things going on. Personally I prefer working with people who have some outside distractions, overall they are much more well rounded people... not just hype geeks like I see everywhere else. I posted in my worklog that this stretch of a few weeks was going to be bad on the site... so this should be no surprise. In the near future I have more weeks like this coming up to, just how it is. My job security isn't in question much anymore, but I do run a fairly large technical team, who are working on a massive network that servers out number my team by a factor of 12:1, and workstations a factor of 400:1. But in the end, all the work away from the site gives me chances for more pay, more job security, and overall more comforts in life. Where ProCooling it just gives me more people bitching if I get busy in real life... So ... respectfuly, please stfu and understand that everyone on the site has a real life they need to attend to at times, and real bills that need to be paid. Unless your willing to pay up a nice salary to me with benifits = to a state gov job, I dont really need to hear the crying about shit like this. (yes I am rather grumpy today) |
I do have 2 days off next week, an I will be getting the backlog of articles and such posted then.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
