Some correlation with PC hardware review sites too, no? Though I think hardware sites typically do it all for free products and a chance to look at boobies at conventions

An independant review is always best, because it eliminates any possibility of bias. No freebies, no gimmicks, nothing: go to the store (or on-line) and buy it, just like everyone else.

It's just too easy to fall into that trap though. Every company has a scheme that works one way or the other. My favorite is one that claims independence: YOU buy the product, YOU review it, and if we like your review, we'll give you a credit towards your next purchase:rolleyes: (name witheld)

On the other hand, a lot of sites, not unlike this one, don't have a lot of advertising revenue to cover such expenses. That's why we barely see any reviews here.

Maybe we should encourage more "user reviews" here, like what they're doing over at OC.

That would be a swell idea. I don't like doing all the benchmark BS, but as far as basic reviews, I could do a STACK of mobos with the machines I've built in the last month alone, hehe.
