PS/PS2 -> PC Monitor?
I have a lovely 21" Sun monitor, and only a 20" TV, and ideas if I can connect a PlayStation, or a PlayStation2 through a VGA socket?
And if so how? The monitor has also got the standard Sun connector, i could use that if it helps. |
For dreamcasts they made this device that would let you connect your PC monitor to the console.. Im pretty sure there is somehting like this for the ps2

Pretty sure there are separate boxes out there that you can plug a game console into and then patch into a vga display. Nothing from the manufactures of sony or anything. Do some searching.

Most Sun monitors are fixed-frequency, and therefore incompatible with your average video card.:(

This one ain't :)
does anywhere from 40 - 150 Hz Sitting pretty right now at 1280x1024 @ 120 Hz, very very sweet monitor, set me back £350 about 2 years ago, 21", 0.21 dot pitch, flat screen CRT. Traditional grey and purple sun colours too, the tube is made by Sony, and their version, with the same tube and specs in a different casing slots in over a grand. If you live in the UK, i could hook you up with one, they're down to £280 now. |
There is this device which seems to have been overlooked so far, i don't think it is true VGA but a line doubler (i am not certain on this). http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?cat...c36b5983d2b852
