Dual Pumps

Anyone have some expirience with dual pumps...

Will it increase water flow...pressure...decrease temps?

Or will I be pioneering it tonight?

Search. Its not uncommon and seems to work well.

Also, water pumps don't belong in the waterblock construction forum ;)

Pumps in parallel will increase flow. Pumps in series will increase pressure. Which way are you connecting yours?

I found this article a few weeks back and posted it on the overclockers.com forum. The Word document attached shows how this guy tested running 2 pumps in serial and parallel.

I can't find it right now and will post it later here but he got an 85% increase in pressure when using pumps in serial.

when the pumps are used in series, you will get your flow rate equal to the highest flow rate of the 2 pumps, i.e. if you got one pump rated at 1lpm and the other rated at 2lpm, the your flow rate would be that of 2lpm

the head would be close the addition of the head of bout pumps(pls anyone correct me if i am wrong because i am not 100% sure on this).

The store was sold out atm...will hopefully be able to grab another pump on Tues...They only cost $8.88 so I best be on time this time.
