Video card generating good amount of heat, hot to touch.

Looking for input on Rad and air flow. I have 2 80mm fans blowing air in Rad and one L1A pulling.
THINKING OF THIS: Cut square in front of case and put Rad right to it. Forget the 2 fans blowing in air just pull cool room air w/ L1A. Might be Better????

One other weird event has taken place with Tygon tubing. My UV green dye is all Gone. What happened to it?? I think the tygon absorbed it. I have some of the mixture left over that I put into my system and it is just fine. My tubing is a little light brown now. I doing some test with the UV dye to see if air is a factor. I will know tomorrow.

The 1048's are really nice pumps for small in-case setups like yours.

I've found that the Tygon does seem to "absorb" impurities, and it will lose its clarity over time.

This is why Im thinking of only keeping Tygon for the hard bends and do the rest with clear flex or some other thick wall vinyl tubing.

It might evaporate. I notice my water does in a closed loop. Takes along time though for it to be significant. Check maybe once a week.

I've heard dyes do lose there strength over time from other posters responses.

Those temps above are under Load by the way.

I have some left over mixture of the UV dye I used and put it into a closed Gatorade bottle and one open Gatorade bottle. Both dye's in both bottles still glow and are still present. This is 2 days they have been in bottles. The UV dye did not even last 30 hours in my system. It must be the TYGON!!!!! I would say my Tygon looks a light redish brown. Its still clear but has a tint now. I will to bet that Vinyl tubing would perform better with thick wall.

Im going to setup some more test.

Could the dye have a problem with the metal in the block and radiator? What is tygon exactly? A form of plastic right? I noticed my Clearflex 1/2 tubing has a pink color from the water wetter.

Tygon is a form of rubber. It is highly resistant to chemicals. The metals won't do anything to it.

Clearflex has the same properties, but is available for a lower price (hint hint).

Note however that both of these have a fairly low max temp rating, around 74 degC.

The dye is pretty harmless stuff. If it reacts with anything, it would be the additive, where the additive would absorb or neutralize the dye.

Seriously? I didn't think it was this low... I know tygon melts (pretty good at that), but I melted some very high temps (100c+), I thought the max operating temp was considerably higher, 70c or so.

Oops, you're right: specs here (2 page PDF).

Max recommended operating temp is 74 deg C (164 F).

My Temps are in degF not degC under load.

Unfortunately, I can't view your site (traceroute stops at a Verio router in Houston...)

I thought that Tygon blocked UV, did you ever get a decent 'glow' through the hoses?

You can see how green it is in the pic. At night it was glowing real good. Then after 30 hours Bammm, it was gone. I have found this out from my test so far that it is NOT the presence of Air.
I left a open jar of the same exact mixture for 3 days and it is still just as bright.

Hopefully this test will tell me what it is.
Im taking two hose, one vinyl hose fitted together with a copper connection, and the other will be tygon fitted w/ plastic connection. Both will contain same mixture of UV dye and distilled water. Im willing to bet its the tygon tubing having some other reaction with the UV dye.
