Thinking out loud
I have been considering going to a Pelt type system, while this is still very early in the planning stages I thought I might get a few pointers from you guys.
I will be constructing my own case that will house 2 computers but will share the same cooling set up ( much in the way I am doing it now). my question is this, can I use Pelts to cool one loop of the W/c and a second loop as a heat exchanger? The reason for this train of thought is by cooling water with the pelt ( instead of the actual Prosessor, I am hoping to eliminate the need for all the insulation on and around the processor. I know the end result would not be as low temps as a regular Pelt set up but IF I can regulate the water to 1C or there about I shouldnt have to deal with condensation and it would still yeild a 30C drop in processor temp. What do you think? Aardil |
Pelts are VERY ineffcient. You'll need extemely high powered pelts before they will even begin to impact coolant temp.
Get a phase change system instead. Quote:
