Union Cross at Liquidcool.org
http://liquidcool.org/main.php?zone=...oup=1&item=111
I was just browsing around liquidcool.org today as I haven't really been there much. There's some cool stuff there and A LOT of fittings. I noticed the piece linked above and it seemed interesting. Anyone know of practical applications of something like this in an H2O setup? -Kevin |
No idea, but its only 1/4 inch ID so what would be the point?
|
Well it is only 1/4", but i'm sure McMaster would have any size in that thing. My question was basically wondering what kind of application ANY cross link type hose connection has. He must have thought of some cool application if he put it on the site ;).

I suppose in a really odd way it could be used to allow filling and draining in a system (just follow me here....it might actually happen!!) :)
You could put the cross piece somewhere in the system, and use it as a through piece, then have one side going to the top of the case for bleeding, and the other side going to the bottom of the case for emptying the system. I suppose you would have to add in a couple of valves to get it working properly, so it is probably easier to do it another way. Hell if all else fails i suppose you could just glue 20 or 30 of them to the front of the case to make a pretty pattern *grin* |

If it had 3 3/8" ID connections, and one 1/2" ID connection, you could use it to combine the power of 3 pumps, tho it could be done better with a W shape in that case..
