want to clarify a previous post
 

Hi all!

There was a post before talking about cooling the Tyan Thunder K7 (what I have). Okay, so would a Black Ice Extreme or a Black Ice II w/ LPD & 1/2" fittings be enough to cool 2 Athlon 1900+ MP CPUs (assume no overclocking, cpus are the only thing being cooled for now, DD Maze2 waterblocks, EHEIM 1250 pump, and possibly an airtrap or two).

It'll look something like:
pump -> rad --> block1 & block2 --> airtrap -> pump

Ideally, I would like temps around 30C +- 2C.

im no expert at the subject but i think you´ll be alright. the second cpu WILL run a little bit hotter than the first though.

Yeah should be good. THough I think 30C will be hard. Figure 12-15C above ambient for good watercooling. You'd need room temps below 20C for that to happen.

I would try to run the inlets parallel. Basically have a "T" on the first block, then a "L" on the second IN fitting, then have 2 INs on your airtrap. This SHOULD ballance the flow better in theory, but running through the fittings may have a negative impact on flow to the point where it will hurt your temps over running them in series. I haven't tried this myself, but it is how I envisioned a dual AMD watercooling rig.

I think you should have a T fitting with the same length hoses running to each block. And have the same setup for the return lines. This way you should get the same amount of cooled water to each block.
