Geez I remember a while back OCWC had an "ingredients" page saying exactly what the best amount of every ingredient was, but I can't find it now. However, i'm sure it is there so check it out.

If your not going sub zero in temps, Water-wetter and distilled water is all you need. Water-wetter gives you the proper ratio on the label.

how about water with a few drops of bleach? Alcohol/water mixtures are more viscous than water. Water is hard to beat as a cooling fluid. The bleach will keep anything from growing in the water.

Alcohol/water mixtures are more viscuos? Alcohol by itself is less viscuos than water, but this could be a case of the mixture getting new properties(like alloys).

The only mixture I ever use is water and waterwetter. Well, that and glowbottles or dyelite. I use about 1 ounce of water wetter per half gallon of water, seems to do the job. :)

I wonder if I've messed up my block?? Several months ago I purchased a Maze2 and a GrundFos very high output pump and a F150 heater core. It sat around with distilled water and a tiny bit of Redline Water Wetter (but not likely enough) in it for several months before I got the project back going. Installed on an Iwill KK266 with an Athlon 1200 I am getting CPU temps of 45C running Prime95. My water temp never exceeds 28C in the hottest part of the system. Is it corrosion in the block, or is getting the contact patch correct on the cpu the most likely problem???
