It comes apart cleanly and easily, with no small washers or anything to loose or put back on the wrong way.

Both the pink axel and the white thrust plate are some kind of ceramic.

The impeller is a blades within disk design, notice the lip on the plastic around the intake on the impeller, that mates with (small clearance) a groove on the impeller housing, which helps to prevent water short circuiting under high head loads

The small black peices are not rubber but yet another kind of ceramic.

Thanks for the nice pics, much better than the drawings always posted. Whats that white material between your heatsinks/motor housing?

ahh it's just a generic silicone based heat transfer compound.
