WW with TEC?
i was just wondering, is it possible (with the mounting) to easily mount a TEC with one of the new WW blocks? you have a 2x2" cold plate, along with your TEC, will it work out? if not, is there i way i can drill my own holes down the block so that i can properly put enough pressure on the TEC independant of the pressure of the structure on the cpu... any ideas? :confused:

the ww is not a tec block. Look at where the cooling is directed, and you can see why.

Indeed... if you're looking to use a pelt you should look for a block that's been designed to work with one. The White Water was never intended to be a pelt block.

The WW has all the waterflow consetrated over the core of the CPU.
A block for TEC-cooling should have as much surface as possible over the whole block because the TEC spreads the heat all over and not just over the core. I've seen somewhere about someone trying the WW with a TEC but I don't remember the outcome of it. |
