Crappy temps or not ???

A week ago I installed my setup and I'm a bit
disapointed about the temps and oc ...

40°C idle
49°C load
ambient 25°C

Are these temps good ? I expected better
since I only got a 100+ OC (1.8>1.9)

-------------------------------------------

CPU and GPU watercooled (Cu+ coolers)in parallel

P4 1.5G >>> 1.9G (FSB 127)
VCore = 2.15V >>> amount of heat = ???
Abit Th7II
GF3 @ 260/560 V-modded

Block : http://www.pc-mac2000.com/Shopping_water_cooling.html (the second block)
1x pannaflow 92mm 12V
3x coolermaster 80mm
Eheim 1048 (600L)
10mm tubing
Coolercube
Ice Pourpre 6cl

A good watercooling system will not go more than 10C above water temp. Water temp should be no more than 5C above ambient. You are running way to hot for water cooling!!!!

I agree but I can't figure out what is wrong ...
when I boot the system reaches 42° in the bios.
I tried replacing the artic silver etc but nothing helped
The mounting is done through four screws and a plexi plate and is very firm.
I also removed the top of the P4 so the cooler is directly on the die.

help ... :(

P4??? That is extreamly hot for a P4. List all your parts to the water cooling setup.

What kind of radiator, pump, block, ect...

Doh, sorry didn't look down. How do you have that block held on there? Sounds like it isn't making a secure mount to the CPU. maybe try putting the P4 top back on?

jaydee 12-27-2001 03:27 PM

Thats a lot of Vcore!!! What is the default Vcore for that P4?

eX&TriC 12-27-2001 03:40 PM

default 1.7V
Th7ii can go up to 2.2V

You will have to find out what your water temp is. i drop a thermo probe in my resivore to test mine. That way we can tell if the water isn't being cooled down enough. You might try getting some more flow through your radiator.

2.1v @ 1900mhz on a P4 is 140w. at 2.15v you will be putting out even more.

That is one serious heatload there
