newbie here have ????'s
 

I currently am running an antec case with a whole lot of fans just to cool the dam thing. Currently running is:

P4 2.53 Ghz
1 gig of ddr ram
80 gig hard drive
audigy 2 platnium
all in wonder 9700 pro
yamaha 44 x burner
and lots of fans making lots of noise.

My problem is that it is running hot and i want to convert to a water cooling system. Are there any systems u suggest. Once again i would be new to water cooling in general. i was looking at the coolance case with everything already built in. would that be a good choice. any suggestions would be appretaited. Welcome!!!. 1st, Koolance isn't the way to go. For the same amount u could choose ur own parts and get twice the performance.

For a pump, most choose Eheim 1048 or 1250 and so on. Another good choice would be a Maxi-jet 1200, small yet powerful.

For a radiator, i prefer a Black Ice Extreme or you could go with a heatercore from a junkyard, both will work fine.

Whether u want a res or not is up to u.

Also, go with 1/2 or 3/8 inch tubing.

For a waterblock, DangerDen is quite popular.
Use distilled water and add a bio chemical, like water wetter to kill algae and so on.

Try to stay away from those all in one kits like the one by thermaltake and such. most arent worth the money, although i hear innovatek isnt so bad...worth looking up maybe.

Xoxide is really pricey. I like cooltechnica.

It really depends on how much work you're willing to put into making your computer cool :D

Obviously if you're more concerned with getting it setup and running quickly some sort of pre-made kit is the way to go, but if you like building things - then you should buy each component you think is the best, or more cost effective.

Among premade kits, there is alot o diference, the Koolance or something like that, is the - it doesn't get much easier kinda kit. There are lots of kits, that include radiators, tubing, a pump, a waterblock, and resevoir, that are very similar to things lots of people use here - but with a kit, you don't get to choose every little thing. (unless if some custom kit, which is just like custom anyway...so ...:shrug: )

Dangerden has some kits on their site(175-220 USD), they look pretty good, well rounded and decently cost effective. But as with any WCing in a normal case, if you plan to fit it all in you have to be quite careful when you're choosing all you stuff. (Sometimes not that easy with a kit)

Anyway that's just my .02

are you overclocking? if not then don't worry about heat. we build systems like that everyday, often with a lot faster cpu. No extra case fans, only fan on the cpu, and the one in the psu.

If you are overclocking then you should consider just about anything that cooltechnica sells.
