Evaluating Thermochill 120.3

Hello guys. Lets start with my parts:
Asus P4P800 Deluxe Beta bios 1008
P4 2.6@3.4 1.6v (at all tests) with Evo-s
Radeon 9700pro with Swifty on it.
Pump Eheim 1048
Room temperature (at all tests) 23C.
3 Fans at the Thermochill at pull out condition.
Idle: Half hour in windows
Load: Half hour with cpu burn in.
Also the flow rate of the pump was rated at approximately 3.5l/h

Temps ON AIR with the default p4 heatsink:
Idle: 35 Cpu 34 Mobo
Load: 53 Cpu 37 Mobo

Temps W/C with the fans at 7V:
Idle: 24 Cpu 34 Mobo
Load: 29 Cpu 36 Mobo
Temp of air before rad 25
Temp of air after rad 26.5

Temps W/C with NO fans.
Idle: 29 Cpu 35 Mobo
Load: 40 Cpu 39 Mobo
Temp of air before rad 27
Temp of air after rad 28.5

Is this is impressive or what? I know that the readings may be crappy thats why i count every temp i could.. (except water temp because its a closed system, no tank..)

And here is a small pic of the rad mounted on the top of a lian-li pc75.

The temps are probably off, but the point is that you reduced your CPU temp by 11 to 14 deg C, and it probably runs quieter.

Nice details on the fans! Does it blow air in, or out?

since you can see the back of the fans, i would say out

Exactly, they blow out.

Bigben2k i thought too that the temps might be off thats why i tested with the default heatsink. It seems quite normal this temp for the default intel p4 heatsink. I dont know yet i have to count the water temperature to be sure..

Get some pelts slapped in there fella... that rad copes no probs cooling CPU with 220w Pelt, GPU and Northbridge in series on a single loop with CPU OC'd from 2Ghz upto 2.5Ghz...

see www.over-clock.co.uk/marci/ for shots of it fully loaded and live updated temps.... and that's with bogstandard YSTech fans blowing thru it into the case.... and a few 80s directly under it in side panels to pull hot air out. (Got fed up of havin a hot armpit from the fans blowin hot air up the side of me shirt!)

Awesome job on modding your cases for this rad DJD and Marci. I am looking to get this rad myself but I kind of wanted to see BillA's review of this which would probably directly lead to US retailers starting to carry it. However since I assume BillA is busy with his new job I dont think we'll be seeing the review anytime soon. I guess I'll probably just have to pay for shipping overseas from PClincs unless a US retailer starts selling these soon. Does anyone know if any US retailers are looking to carry this rad? Does anyone know if BillA is posting results for this rad soon?

BillA has already done the performance graphs, it's just a matter of waiting for the text to be written up which he was doing Monday so shouldn't be long now...

In the meantime, give DangerDen a shout and poke em with a stick as they've received a fullset of ThermoChill rads to test with a view to them stocking them (1x120, 2x120, 3x120, 1x92, 1x80)... think they just need to know the demand is there...
