Anyone play UT or UT2003 here?
 

If so I can setup a server to handle a small load. Will password it if need be for procooling members. Or is there any other game you would want to play that I can set up on my 256Kup connection. I had 7 people on my UT2003 server and it seemed to work well.

Well I will get a server up here soon. Expecting a Abit KD7 here in a few days and then I can put my Distributed Folding on that machine and use my current folder for the game server. try to have it up by this weekend providing I get the Abit on time Thursday.

Bombing run is fun though - so is DM.

I'm a CTF man. Its good, IG only :P Too bad my Gforce 3 can't really handle it. I get 50-60FPS only

i still play ut, but you have to admit it's the year of the half life gamers! with new mods poping up everywere you can get a half-life mod that incorperates just about any aspect of anything.

Half Life eh? I got the original game here somewhere. Didn't really care for it much then. Will look into it a little more.

Got the KD7 and it is up and running. Should have UT2003 loaded up here tomorrow or Friday. WIll try to get it up for the weekend at least. Have some swaping out to do though. Got to put the KD7 in my case and take the K7S5A out ect.. Will make the server out of the K7S5A/XP1600+@1540 146FSB/256megs PC166. Plenty of power to handle it. Will make it a dedicated server up 24/7. Have a lot of catching up to do though in tweaking the server setting and downloading BP's and mutators and maps and what not....

Tinkered with the UT2K server last night and hope to have it setup and running tonight. Being I am not expecting anything resembling traffic on it I am going to set it for for Zoom Instagib in Last Man Standing. They said it is the 2225 Dedicated server with Bonus pack 1 so it should be up to date. I started the server up last night but I couldn't connect to it for some reason which I havn't figured out yet. Maybe a port I need to open on the fire wall.

What connection/ISP you on Jaydee? Sometimes I get great pings on servers just south of the border - sometimes horrible, guess it just depends on which backbone the server is on.

I am using Comcast Cable. I am on a fairly unused node and connection speed is pretty good still. 256kup 1500kdown. Will be home in an hour and have a few little things to do then I will try and get the server up and running.

Server is up I think. I just connected to it through another comp so I think it should be good to go. You will want the Epic Bonus pack installed and at least patch 2199.

I ask because I have been hosting my own UT2K3 server for a few months now and almost nobody has used it. I would be interested in pooling resources if you want or helping out in any way I can with techsupport or whatever.

I run a bombing run server usually. I also host a GameVoice server so I can talk to people while playing (very entertaining) on the same IP using port 59110. The chat is password protected because I had a couple of freeloaders take it over a year ago and abused it. PM me for the password and I will get it out.

No one has really used it. I get a loner now and then and they usually just leave. I havn't had much time to put into it though. been working on a few projects this weekend... I havn't even played on it yet. :D

Yeah everytime I check Kali, your server seems to have 2 bots, sometimes I join up play around a bit, occasionally people will come- but it's pretty boring with only one other comp. Like I just kill it 3 times and then it stops for a while, shows me and then loads up again - gets repetative and it always seems to be on Crash...:shrug:

Not sure why the maps were not cycling, but I think it should be fixed as I manually switched maps and then removed crash from the cyceling maps. Also put in 4 bots at "Adept" skill level so it might be more of a challenge. Once I get some more tweaks done I will post the server info an a few more sites. From my computer I can't sem to get a ping though? Can anyone else see if the server gets a ping on the master server list through the browser?

I get a ping through the Kali Master Server (66.151.180.3). Might be a bit different than others though I'm not sure - Gives me 60 +/- 11. (Using 3 pings) - 0% loss.
