need advice on phase change cooling

I just got a vapochill box, it has a Danfoss BD35F compressor with R134a refrigerent in it.
I am considering two changes, 1st going to a BD50F compressor and 2nd changing the refrigerent to R22. I need to chat with a person who knows a lot about whats involved in changing a refrigerent, this compressor was originally designed for R12 and used mineral oil, now it runs R134a and uses PEG oil. I would like to obtain enough additional capacity to cool the Northbridge chip.

The size of the compressor is directly related to the size of the evaporator and condenser coils...it's a balanced system, changing to a larger compressor is probably a waste....changing everything to match would be a real waste, might as well start from scratch.....you can gain cooling capacity from 2 things....change to R12 freon, which is more efficient...it is still available at auto shops and will require a complete flushing of the system....next, increase the air flow across the condensor coil with a better fan arrangement,

Are those Vapochills turds or what?

You are completely refitting it???

I just posted about AMD incompatabilty...

no, the vapochills are fine, its just that it only cools the cpu, that still leaves the Northbridge and the video card to cool, I am just thinking of trying to increase the vapochills capacity to handle the other things

i'm looking into buying a vapochill were did u buy urs

why not leave the compressor to cooling the cpu, and pelting the NB and GPU, but running a rad+fan at the bottom front of the case

FFS! cant you just add water blocks with insulated piping to the existing setup and cool the other things that way? vapochills get oced 2ghz pentiums @ 2.8ghz down to -20 degrees centigrade. i wouldent say you had to worry about capacity.

i would be worried about cutting the setup apart though, its all a bit specialised.
