Pics of my waterblock!!!

Ok, I know it looks like a rip off of the WW but that wasn't my goal. It was already looking like the WW even before I saw the inside of the WW.

Channel hight: .375"
Fin/channel width: .035"
Base: Somehwhere around .04"
Bottom finish: Lapped w/ 600 grit
Manufacturing: Both CNC and manual milling.

You might think the impingment is stupid, which it might be, but I cut about .25" down into the barb so the water can actualy reach the outside of the impingment slot while inside the barb.

As you can see there are a couple mistakes. One of the mounting wholes on the base is screwed up. When I had it on a mini CNC Mill (kinda a desktop mill) the bit I was using to drill was kinda dull and I didn't center drill. So the bit just danced all along the surface makin a mess. The other mistake was where you can see the JB weld on the inside of the top piece. I was milling around where I broke the tip off a #3 center drill off (trying to get it out), and took abit to much on that side. I broke the bit cause I was turning to slow and feeding to fast, duh.

Not bad for my first block, I guess. I have a 1.4Ghz Tbird, which are known to be hot so I dunno what I would be getting on a cooler chip. Overclocked to 1.5ghz, load temp is 45C (I'm remounting the block, will repost temp change, if any).

Here's a pic of my shroud and fan.

It is steel sheet metal painted chrome (matches case nice). I JB welded the sheet metal to all four edges of the heatercore and sanded. Yes, I masked off heatercore for painting. Hey, I didn't even make a template for it, just went w/ it.

What do you think of my efforts?
