Project On Hold For At Least 3 Months
On Saturday, I managed to cut through about 3/8 inch of soft tissue, sliced through the tendons for all four fingers, and nicked the bone on my left wrist while working with a miter saw. I'm afraid my watercoling project is on hold for at least the next 3 months.
After a less-than-exciting ambulance ride, a brief stay in the ER to "tie off a bleeder", 2.5 hours in surgery sewing it all back together, and two days in the hospital, I'm doing fine. |
That has to suck! Take it easy with that and let it heal up right (or as right as it can get).

Yikes!
Sounds like the miter saw got a hold of something, and kicked a piece back at you! Got any safety tips, for the rest of us fools? Here's hoping you recover well, and soon. Joe and I will join in a beer for ya! ;) |
BAHHH!!!!
That stinks! Sorry man. Ill pray for that to heal. |
wow that's horrible. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Safety tip:
Never operate a miter saw that is lower than waste high. --------- My duct stuff is completed but I can't a) use my left hand at all, and b) even if I could use it, the weirdo splint with it's wild assortment of pullies and wires is too damn big to do anything in the restricted confines of a computer case. :) |
