TECs
I have been WCing for about 6 month. I'm thinking of adding a TEC for my hot tbird. Questions:
Where's all the frozen Phase Change threads for us newbs? I have an Antec True 550W PS. How big of a tec should I get? Who do you buy YOUR tecs from? What else do I need to know? I have read an articles on condensation but that's it. Here is my block: http://www.angelfire.com/me/lastreso...es/block-2.jpg Thanks for anyone will to educate me in this area. |

They have tecs and specs. Make sure your power supply can supply the voltage and has the spare amps. The entire TEC needs to be cooled not just a core sized area. Get a block that you can place a pressure plate on, and has larger area cooling. These tecs are expensive, but they are good businessmen. |

And if that's a whitewater block then it ain't no good fer tecs neither...
|
LOL.. "aint no good"
Your profile is from UK, sure you aren't from Texas? |
a WW block is excellent for those 15 x 15mm TECs that are like 12 watters. Otherwise a rotor is preferable
|
with those 12 watters on the cpu, you would be overloaded immediately. My 85w cant handle the heat from my 1700 amd. The temp just climbs up .7-1 degree a second.
