Im looking for a box to put my wc stuff in. Im guna want to have my case sitting on top of it, so it needs to be pretty strong. And im needing some size. Anyone know of anything like this?

Yeah, what you're looking for, is a case extension, like those found in the phase change coolers, sold comercially.

The problem is that you're not going to find one that fits your case perfectly, unless you get really lucky.

If you weren't in Japan, I'd recomend that you build one yourself. Maybe it's just a stereotype, and I need to be corrected, but I'm betting that you don't have a work area to do this, no tools, and I wouldn't bet that the raw materials are readily available.

Is there such a thing as a hardware store in Japan?:confused:

Here in Houston, Texas, USA, I've got at least 6 hardware stores within 1 mile from my house.:p

Well if i could get one of those case estensions that would also work. you know of a place that sells them?

Yea we have hardware stores here. Infact my uncle has a shop and makes wood furnature, but it is kind of hard to find a metal worker that would be willing to take on such a small task.

Otherwise, you could make a case extension out of wood.;)

Does it have to go underneath your case? I put my watercooling stuff in a cheap plastic file cabinet. I sit it next to my case and run the hoses over. Of course you would need to cut a hole for the hoses, the power cords, the fan and the radiator, but that's not too difficult.

Well i was wanting it under my case, but i cant find anything like im looking for. Guess that will work fine. You have any pics of your set up? How did you mount your rad?

And im guessing that i would need a large fan? Ive looked around and i cant seem to find any large ac fans.

Sorry no pics of my setup. I needed some way of attaching the radiator to the side of the box so my dad stepped in and made some wooden frames. The pic shows the top frame and the bottom is basically the same.

I placed the pump inside the box and ran the tubes out the side, one of which goes through a small airtrap/resevoir I made from PVC piping.

The airtrap was an afterthought, which if I were doing again, would be mounted inside the box instead of outside as it is now. :)

I also placed fiberglass ceiling tile pieces on the walls of the box to lower the sound levels but it only did so by about 3db which I don't think is worth the trouble.

I use a single 120mm 12V fan on the opposite side of the box from the radiator so the box acts as a shroud to spread the air out. The fan I'm using is connected to an old 12V transformer which is in turn connected to a fan dimmer so I can lower it's speed. I had a 120V AC fan at first but it made this annoying resonating sound so I took it off.
