For first there was the RPC exploit (this one scares the shit outta me):

I just wondered if anyone is pulling hair out today. For reference, I am surfing the web from my living room couch in my boxers and about to take a shower and start my day (it's 1:30pm)

I got that virus. I got it in the e-mail I made for these forums and the other forums I browse. I scanned the file with norton and it didn't pick anything up so i opened it. Bah... Looks like I get to reload winblows now. Need to do it anyway... :rolleyes:

That is what I got.... It sent an e-mail from admin@customcooledpc.com (which doesn't exist, it's my god damn site!) to the address I use on these forums. How it found the address I use on these forums is a little mystery. I suspect some member has my addy in their list and they got the virus etc....

Norton didn't find jack so I was dumb enough to open it. Anyway I reloaded WinBlows XP on that comp and all is better than before. Needed reloading anyway.

They hid the virus in an HTML file which I didn't even think about it being a virus. Sure enough though.
