Identify that memory, help!
 

I need to add a bit more RAM in my old surfing workstation, but I need to check what kind of RAM it is first, otherwise I might blow it.

The system is a P166 (MMX), on an Asus P55-TVP4, and accepts EDO memory, both in 5 volt, and 3.3, but noth both at the same time.

I've got two sticks of memory here, and the chips are marked:
Panasonic
MN4117405CSJ-06


Does anyone have any info on this, and/or a link on how to identify these?

Any help appreciated (please refrain from laughing at my surfstation, ok ;) )

Have you e-mailed Panasonic with that number asking for thier help?

Most companys are very willing to support past product lines, and those using them.

If someone well meaning is mistaken YOU are the one who will end up with RAM that doesn't work.

Hum... I just swapped modems, so I pulled the memory to check it: I have 168 pin memory, a single stick of 32 mb of it.

I'll have to lookup the Asus manual to see if it'll take that and the 144 pin EDO memory.

I seem to remember a website that had all that info though, but thanks for the tip: I'll contact Panasonic to see what they have.

You could always use a program to tell you what kind of memory it is. Any memory benchmarking app should be able to tell you.

I actually found out from the manual, that what I have in the box right now is 168 pin SDRAM, unbuffered, 3.3v. One stick of 32 MB. I knew I did something right when I purchased it...

I think that the EDO memory is two sticks of 8 MB, so I'd be better off getting another 32mb stick of what I have now, but I'll check just in case: EDO memory is cheaper.

I also have another RAM module on the mobo: anyone remember "Pipeline Burst" memory modules? ;)

Feeling sentimental...
Pipeline burst was some sort of external level 2 cache for the CPU, right?
66 MHz cache memory...
