Ever heard of a Wetlands Water Pump?
 

Was going through Canadian Tire yesterday and saw some water pumps ,
Wetlands 210 for $49.99 /w 1/2"id
Wetlands 360 for $79.99 /w 3/4"id
Wetlands 490 for $99.99 /w 3/4"id

I could find no documentation on it anywhere on the net.

Anybody know anything about them?

Your first task is going to be to identify the type of pump that it is.

If it's a bilge or piston type pump, it'll be too noisy. You want a centrifugal pump. Even then, some have a flexible rubber impeller, and they're noisier than all of them! The clue here is that if it's self-priming, then it's a bad choice.

(Self-priming means that it can suck air until it starts pumping water).

I think it was a centrifugal pump... but will double check...

all i got was information about our ecosystems around the world..
apparently "Wetlands" has other meaning other then a fountain pump...

Hum, nothing on the CT website... Nothing usefull on Google...

Try going over the CT website, with your postal code, and see if anything comes up.

Otherwise, check out if it's self-priming.

Reading from the box I found out a few things.

• Adjustable Flow Control
• High Performance Monobloc Rotor

• Model 210 uses 1/2" , 12 Watts , and max head of 4'
• Model 360 uses 3/4" , 35 Watts , and max head of 7'
• Model 490 uses 3/4" , 40 Watts , and max head of 8'

also any advantage of using 2 210 pumps in parallel? that would equal 420 gpm and only use up 24Watts of power...

You'll want to use pumps in series, not parallel.
