One more newbie question for water cooling
 

I'm currently getting info for putting together a new computer that I'll buy later this year. The main specs are as follows:

Case -- Lian-Li PC-601

Processor -- AMD Athlon XP 3000+ (400 fsb version)

Motherboard -- Gigabyte GA-7N400PRO2

Video Card -- NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 Ultra

I want to add water cooling at least for the processor at first, with the ability to add coolers for the video card and chipset later on.

I would like to know what you guys would reccommend for the different parts for my cooling system. Like which pump, resevoir, processor block, etc to use. Also note that the MOBO doesn't have mounting brackets so I'm guessing that I'd have to go with the Dangerden AMDMaze4 processor block as it's the only brand I've seen that has the ability to install without brackets.

tell us more. Do you want extreeme performance? Quiet case? How many more components do you plan to add? What is your budget?

I would like to cool enough to overclock the processor so yeah I would like the computer to have "extreme performance."

And yeah I'd like it to be quiet as well.

And over time I'd like to add to it a chipset cooler and video card cooler. Possible also add hard disk cooler to but that seems like overkill.

And I'm not really running on a budget. I'm getting the different components for my computer over time (well I could probably buy the whole computer now but I'd also have a much lower savings account).

I have been thinking about getting a hard drive cooler(water based) so when my machine is very quite, i kan wrap my harddrives in acustic foam or someting simular so i won't hear them. I will need to cool them because wrapping hardrives up will definatly make them overheat i think.

what do you rate looks on the waterblocks 1-10. When you say overclock, do you mean you are willing to buy the highest clocking memory, and eventually cool even your northbridge?

The case I have is closed (no window) so looks aren't a factor. May decide to switch to a case with a window but even then then the performance is more important.

The memory I am buying for it is 1GB Kit PC3200 DDR400 DIMM (Kingston brand I think). And for overclocking I meant that I would overclock the processor so that it would run faster. Like I know that this processor is great for overclocking. The 3000+ and 3200+ are both made using the same core so that means they are very similar so you could pretty easily make a 3000+ act just like a 3200+.

And I meant that I would eventually cool the MOBO's chipset which is the NVIDIA nForce2 Ultra 400 + MCP.

A tech guy from dangerden already has given me a reccommended system actually so my search is done. Now I just have to buy the crap.:(
