Direct Die - Some measurements of the temperature on real CPU's
Despite the whole text is in german language, i assume that the temperatures are of some interrest for the most people here in this forum.
Some translation to english can be done with the friendly help of Babelfish: http://babelfish.altavista.com/ So here you find the article about the "Advanced Direct Fluid" on an AthlonXP and on an Pentium4 with his Heatspreader: http://www.upload.cooling-store.de/Fluidus/V2/start.htm There is an older article, in which "Fluidus" describes the optimal form of the nozzles and their distance to the Die of the CPU. http://www.upload.cooling-store.de/Fluidus/V1/start.htm I wish you an error free translation and hope you enjoy the work. mvd |
That's some very nice work: did you do this?
|
No! All the work is done by my Teammate Peter "Fluidus" Berndt. I will be involved, when it comes to the Construction of a real Cooler, which has to be cheap and easy to assembly.
The first prototype will cool my Opteron in February or March 2004. mvd |
