Hey again, sorry about asking so many questions, probably that are very simple to you...Im just trying to make this new system that Im building as good as possible, and with the least amount of errors possible.
First,
I was wondering if its possible to extend fan cables from my fan controllers to my fan...I know that it probably is as simple as splicing into it, and extending it to the length I need, but I just want to make sure.
Second,
I was wondering what you have found is the best way to cut a case to put in a window? I dont have access to a plasma cutter or anything along those lines, so would a jigsaw and a dremel be my best friends? also, what about cutting strait lines with it? what have you found to be the best way?
Third,
Whats the best way to secure a piece of acrylic to the case? Aluminum nuts and bolts? Stainless? What about using rivets? I was thinking that thatd look really clean. Has anyone ever done this before? I know theres a risk of cracking the plexi, but if I get the right size..do you think this could work?
Lastly,
I just wanted to thank you for your help thus far. I have really appreciated your input so far, its been very informative and timely, and I just wanted to say thanks...I see a very good system in my future.

#1-Yes, it's that simple.

#2-A Jigsaw will work fine, just pick a good metal blade. Alternatively, if you have good hands, you can use a "nibbler" (you can Google for it, it's easy to find), to literally "nibble" out a window. Getting it straight is up to how you work it. I prefer to use a metal ruler, and mark the areas in pencil.

#3-I'll be using "Goop" (a silicone glue). Rivets may crack your window, no matter how careful you are. Any other fastener will leave something sticking out around the window, so if you like that look, go for it. You might have a hard time finding short bolts, but what you can do is first thread a nut in it, cut it to length, then take the nut off, and you should have a thread that you can still use.
