Res Design, Will it work well?

Many of you know Im getting a watercooling setup

WhiteWater
Zchip
Maze4-1 Pelt
Procore
2 Via1300 pumps

The order will be...

Res > Radiator > Y Split

Pump1 > CPU Block > NB > to res
Pump2 > GPU Pelt > to res

Res > Repeat

Problem

Im getting a WhiteWater and it has 1 inlet, 2 outlets. Will 1 of the 2 outlets provide enough water for the NB?

Will this res design work well? I need ALL the water possibly to enter my RAD before the 2 pumps, need plenty of flow. Will this design work.

Any Ideas? Thoughts? Comments?

A one inch tube can move 4 times the flow of a single 1/2 inch tube.

A 3/4 inch tube can carry 2 1/4 times that of a single 1/2 inch tube.

Just a point to consider when performing your calculations, and considering your pressure drop throughout the loop. Hope this helps.

Two questions.. why the gpu pelt? Couldn't you get better performance using the pelt on the cpu vs the video card? Why the 2 pumps instead of one single strong one?

GPU pelt because its a smaller pelt, and then I will need to get another PSU. I am limited to $300 on a system. Well I was going for Via1300 for now since I will upgrade later on. I was "thinking", that...

res > rad > Y > 2 pumps

would be better than

res > rad > pump > Y

Am I wrong? I wasnt sure if it would LOSE lots of pressure when it hits res. What do you think I should do?

I may be off.. but I reaaaally think you should place the res-> pump. The pump intake needs an unrestricted in-flow. Placing the rad, unless it is primed at first will make your pump cavitate, and suck air. You really shouldn't restrict your pump intake whatsoever.

and.. of course you will loose pressure when you hit your res. Its not pressurized is it?

If your outflow from the pump is 3/8 then I would go as far as to place a 1/2 inlet to the pump. If its 1/2 then use 3/4 inlet to pump.
