Problems with Peltier

Hi all:

I have in my sistem a peltier of 156 watts over a cold plate of copper 6mm thick connected to a Mean Well power supply S-320-12 and a waterblock over the peltier.
The thing is that I get only 3 celsius over the ambient temperature. Is it anything I can do to get lower temperatures?

My sistem is: NF7-S v 2.0, Athlon XP Barton 2500+ @2205MHZ

Many thanks in advance

Galeno

It sounds right to me. I have a 226W peltier + Maze 4 over an AMD XP 2100, and with absolutely no overclocking temps stabilize at around -1 C.

As soon as I start tweaking things for maximum overclok, temps easily reach +- 18 C.

I couldn't think of a more ideal setup! Perfectly done! This way you don't have to worry about condensation what so ever! If the chip can't oc near ambient, don't bother.

Welcome to procooling Galeno! :)

Maybe your problem is more on the measurement side, you should post more details about that. It´s very easy that you're picking mobo temps more than cpu ones without the proper insulation.

Maybe you can have a guess of your tec performance by looking at your maximum overclock improvements. If it didn't change sure you have a problem somewhere.
