Zalman 7000A-Cu + Vantec Tornado 80mm Mod

Has anyone done anything like that? I want to take out the stock zalman fan and replace it with Vantec Tornado 80mm. I would really appreciate some help from someone whom may have done this before. anything related cutting the fan casing, securing it in place... mmm just about any usefull information would be great
thanks

I wouldn't, simply because of the noise issue. Tornadoes are fuggin' loud!

Plus, I don't think that you would see that much of a difference in temperature or performance.

i have an enermax fan controller, and i can always 7-volt it..
about the results, i dunno, but i'm willing to give it a shot.

Here's a stupid idea...

Attach the tornado where an exhaust fan would be, and duct it over to the giant heatsink, make sure the fan is blowing the right way though...

Hey, it might work =)
