9800 XT anyone?

Alrighty.... got my hands on a Asus 9800 XT/TVD today & without destroying it in the first 30 minutes thought I would check here...
did a search & nothing... has anyone watercooled this beast yes?

Thoughts/links are welcome!

Yes and Yes :D

Uses the same block as a 9700. The socket is the same, the ram appears to be exactly the same layout too. The only difference I can see is with the cooling solution and the extra holes in the pcb for the mounting posts. That's with an ATI card though, would assume the Asus is the same.

If it's the fit you're concerned about: here's a Maze4GPU (polished) on a Radeon 9800 Pro 256Mb. Fits a treat. :D

Oh wow, nice! Did you sand blast that or something?

Where did you get those colars for the tygon? Those are cool and would come in handy!

If you mean the clamps, they were bought at a marine supply store. They are marine-grade stainless steel (no corrosion there!).

If you mean the hose seperator, they come from Billet Specialties :here:. They are polished aluminium, and are made for car customising purposes. The ones I used are 0.625 " x 0.625" size, suitable for thick-walled 3/8" ID Tygon, but they come in a range of sizes.

As for the block, yup: I had it sandblasted, and then I hand-polished it to a shine. :D Thanks for the idea, Coolermeister!

The silver hose clamps he's using are from Pi-thon. They can be found here- Pi-Thon Design Hose Clamps

They are the coolest hose clamps I've seen
