I'm posting these to pretty much every other forum i read, so I thought I'd share them with the rest of you as well. Its my test setup, I'm checking it for leaks right now. Its by no means in its final form, as I'm still working out some fit issues. Enjoy:

Holy cow, that is a sweet looking setup :eek: , especially with the blacklight. What kind of pump is that in the first picture? What temps are you getting so far?

the pump is a rio 200, part of a combo I got from leufkin technologies. its only an interm measure till my Eheim pump gets here. I'm working out how to do a transparent resivior for it.
not sure what temps I'll get yet,, as I havent powered the board on.

To make a transparent reservoir is simple. Use plexiglass.. There are 2 methods you can use to join up the plexiglass plastic.

1)If you have a blowtorch or something that works the same way, you can use it to melt the plexiglass. Don't put the torch too close. Yes, black marks will appear on your reservoir, but you can spray paint it.

2) Use plumber's goop. This works well also, and is pretty cheap, but it looks pretty bad.

I've tried both of these, and they both work.

Why dont you get some Lexan, it's much easier to work with than plexi, and scratches less too. What I would do is to get thick lexan, like 1/2" thick, and assemble it using bolts and just enough goop to make a perfect seal. Get some stainless machine bolts, and tap the plexi for the bolts. Then lighlty good the edges, and screw it all together...
