Cleaning a used rad
 
i got a used heatcore for my setup. it gots some blueish salty thing inside, how and with what should i clean it?

thx for any tip.

The best way to have it cleaned is to take to a radiator shop and have it ultrasonicaly cleaned. It doesn't cost much and they can prolly have it done that afternoon. Plus they can pressure test it and be sure it's not gonna leak, again pretty cheap to do.

The price of a new HC is gonna be cheaper though and a rad shops the only way to go cleaning wise. There may be a lot of gunk built up in the HC which means you're not gonna know if your using the whole thing if you clean it yourself. Not to mention the fact that you ahve know idea what you may suck into the pump etc....

I'd go buy new one for under 30 bucks, it'd save you a lot of possible headaches, and possibly a cooked pump.
