what dremel bits

what ones last the longest to cut copper?

http://www.dremel.com/html/products/...s/cutting.html

atm using #409, 0.6mm thick. I connect my 3mm holes with two cuts, so I use them because they're very thin. With one package of 36 pieces I can cut 3 blocks, but it's annoying those bits all the time

I've used #420, 1mm thick, before, but they're thicker. with those I can' connect my 3mm holes (with 2 0.6mm cuts, like with # 409) because they're too thick. they don't last long either.

I'll get some bits that are ~1mm thick this afternoon anyway, as I need them to connect the holes in my block with 2mm holes. I'll use one single cut of ~1mm to connect the holes, I don't want to do it the other way (two cuts of 0.6mm)

should I get #420's for this, or reinforced ones?
they're more expensive, do they actually last more then two times longer then regular 420's?

how about the #545_Diamond Wheel, anyone already tried these?

what you have to do is take really light cuts, I used both reinforced and the regular ones, the reinforced ones cut wider channels but seem to last a little bit longer. With the regular ones cutting really light cuts you can cut 3 blocks with one disk! I cut a few microchannel blocks with those in my milling machine running it like a horisontal mill. didnt acutally use an entire disk.

I've never cut copper (accept tubing) but I do use my rtx quite a bit. I often snap/shatter the regular cutting discs from applying too much force. The reinforced ones are thicker but I haven't broken one yet and they last significantly longer than regular discs. I'm looking to pick up some diamond discs since I've read about people doing tons of case mods and cutting while barely wearing away a single disc compared to reinforced.
