Air Duct Cooling (School Project, PLEASE HELP!)
 
ok, for a school project i am OCing and creating an air duct system to run air through my heatsink and over my CPU. i need ideas on what types of piping to use, heatsink, etc. any ideas will be gladly accepted.

you could make a bunch of different shapes with #rotor style ducts. And those look pretty cool too.

i wanna run one pipe into the heatsink blowing air in and anthoner one blowing it out.

ok, my basic idea is to run the air one way into the heatsink, blowing air throught the little lines. will this be enough?? i was also thinking of a way to blow air directly over the cpu but will that casue the heatsink to not work correctly if it is raised?? :shrug: sorry about he typing, im on my dads Mac and the KB is tighter.

if you dont have the heatsink on the processor entirely, you WILL blow out your cpu.

in less than a second...

Ive done it on an athlon 1200 before, it gets so hot so fast that it simply frys itself and the mobo. Im talking like 900 F hot... cause I made the mistake of touching the core about 10 seconds after turning it off... :cry:

If the heatsink is "raised", that means its not working at all.
