The picture shows what my cpu looks like after taking off the waterblock I made.

Does the thermal grease quantity look right? Flat enough block?

Can't say whether it's a flatness issue or uneven mounting pressure, but note how the thickness of your grease varies from lower-right to upper-left. Total quantity is OK, distribution could be improved.

Any paste which has been pressed out at the edges is the amount you put on to much, keep it to a trancelucent layer when applying. Also stay away from to thick pastes (think cooler master paste, which i hate for being such thick goo). Also looks like you didn't apply even pressure to the waterblock at all sides or either the block or the die isn't really flat.

It lokos alright I think, its just from when you pull it off the suction is probably pulling a little bit back on there. I know mine sometimes looks like that too.

You probably took it off crooked or something. The layer looks thin enough to me.

I dont see a problem... Do you have heat issues or something?
