Question about some barbs
This Swiftech block as 1/2" barbs:

Resistances are additive, so every little bit helps. My suggestion would be to use a nylon 5/8" barb on the outlet and try something like this:
http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=5621 for the inlet. Might be counterintuitive to add a restriction to improve performance, but it will substantially increase turbulence where you want it. |

I got 3/4"OD barbs for all my fittings and 5/8"OD tubing. This will give me 1/2" flow through out my entire system. Will the block be able to handle this? Also, the instructions that came with the pump said to never use teflon to seal the threads, but instead to use silicon. What exactly should I use? I don't want to seal the threads permanently, just create a leakproof seal.

One more question. I got steel barbs and am using a heatercore from a Ford with a Swiftech block. The heatercore is most likely a brass/aluminum mix. What kind of additive should I use since I'm mixing all these different metals?
