Matrix Orbital LCD

I'm thinking of buying a Matrix Orbital MX212 after reading about it Here.

Has anyone had any bad experiances with it, or know of any major bugs problems? i have had a quick google but cant find anythign major (apart from the fan thing on boot, but i can fix that)

Ta :)

I have one and it's great :)
Not a problem with it. The hardest part was learning LCDC and plug ins and configuration of plug-ins like for MBM5. Once you figure that out it's pretty awesome what it can do.

I've got the MX222 and I'm still in love with it. And I agree with rocketmanx in learning LCDC and plug ins and configuration is the hardest. I just found out I can control the speed of my regular case fans, wow! Its speed can be based on CPU usage, CPU temp, readings off temp probe, or any other percentage/temp based variable. Boy was I surprised when I realized I can control case fans, although I had that feature for months, I finally realized it this week. :p :D

guandi, one word of advice on plugins, DON'T try to overcomplicate them. They're all very simple to use. I thought them to be more complicated than they realy are and it was a bitch to use, had them all messed up :( They need to have some better instrcution on using them. If some help with configuring is desired I can do a quick rundown on something like Hardware Sensors Monitor plugin, it works really well.
In configuration there are a lot of settings that don't need touched and the adding lines etc... is much more simplethan it at first appears.

falloutboy, what plugin you using for that?

No need to download any plug-in's, its already included with LCDC. Just connect your case fans to the fan headers on the display, connect a floppy power connector, configure with LCDC (the hard part).

Took me a while to figure out how to correctly configure LCDC to do what I wanted. Just start LCDC - go to screen builder - events - create new event - on event, I think it was something like "MBM5 -> sensor # -> eq or gr - Action would be Advanced -> PWM -> Increase PWM - set percentage you want to increase by. Same thing to decrease fan speed, but different action. Play around with your events and I'm sure you'll understand.

Ok, I knew about that ;) Thanks for the config rundown though, it'll make it easier when I decide to use that. I'm using a Zalman controller now modded to match my case. What did you use for pin connectors? I'd rob some old mobo connectors from an opld case but I don't have any I want to destroy. Sucks the pins are the small 2 pin type. 3 pin would be nice.
Was kinda hoping you found a plugin that used the mobo fan headers :(
