I am planning to make a chamber and a suction line, but how tall would be right ?
I was talking to a friend and he suggest to make 3 layers(thanks Azzi)
Where do you suggest to locate the inlet of the cap tube and the suction line?
here is another pic with the dimension block compared with a floppy disc.

I gotta say, it looks neat. There hasn't been enough designs publicly tested here in the forums, so, good luck!

As for how many levels... there was one fellow who did a 3-level design for the on-CPU evaporator. It worked really well, from what I hear.

How did you cast it? I want to know that more than anything...

First time I've seen a DIY cast waterblock  Definitely want to know what you used to melt the copper, and how you molded it like that???
wow

There was someone else that was doing casted blocks, and I believe that person was also from Brazil as it appears Marvin might be (background of the Brazillian Journal for one of his pics). Search for "copper" and "casting".

I think the person I was remembering was Roscal, and the thread is here:

I seem to recall cast copper isn't as good as rolled copper bars for water blocks, though I forget why. :p

Hmmm, well after sifting through those posts I'm not sure I'm all that excited any more :( Casting copper looks tricky, to say the least.

Is this a waterblock or a phasechange block
If it's for phase change then won't the microscopic air bubbles pose problems, regarding refrigerant leakage, etc?

Phase change. But, the voids probably wouldn't leak unless there were a LOT of them. Good question, though. Milling is definitely the way to go, IMO.

sorry for the lack of response.
Bryan256, you are correct. it was casted by a friend, Bruno Facca, see links.
lolito, it was made with the purpose of warecooling. It is a good block, so i was planning to make an evaporator with half of this size(tall).
