new setup higher temps-lookin 4 help

hello.my setup is as follows.eheim 1250,86"chevette heatercore,DDmaze3,tygon 1\2inch id hose.res-14"acrylic cylinder4"id.heatercore has 2x120 panaflos1 high 1 med.
res outlet to pump inlet is 3\4'hose. all components are external. the plumbing goes res>pump>rad>wb>res.i have no pics, but before with my setup i would average say 31c-34c idle 38c-39c max load temp. i used to have heatercore in case, but now it is all out of case. this added approx 12" of extra tubing. it now idles at 37c-39c.max load temp is 42c. i have been getting help at another forum and they are suggesting i go res>pump>wb>rad>res. this will give me higher pressure going thru wb. my mb is an abit it7max2.>p4 1.8a. the weird thing is with my other board, which was a bd7ii i could`nt oc much past 133 with vcore maxed.
i am right now at 138\186 using the 3\4 divider and only have vcore set at 1.625 in bios. so i have higher temps but so far have overclocked farther on the it7,than i could with the bd7.but i digress.is perhaps the it7 reading temps too high?, did the extra 12"of tubing cause the temp increases.it is completely stable so far, benching gaming etc. your input is appreciated

It won't get you higher pressure. What is the ambient before, and after? If it went up by 3 or 4 degrees... Overclock is pretty much all that matters. MB things are generally inaccurate.

AHAHAHAAHAHA! SASKATCHEWAN!!! We have these crazy things called, "hills" and "mountains" in Alberta. :D If all you did was add 12" of tubing and put the radiators external, I would have to blame an innaccurate temp sensor.

heyyy.a fellow canuck cool.that was what i am thinking,
is the abit board reading temps too high.

I would agree that the temp sensor is a likely suspect. The only other possibility that occurs to me is that you have some kind of problem with your CPU mounting. Try redoing the mount a few times and see if that helps any.

I wouldn't get that excited about things however, it looks like you are doing the right things in terms of your system setup, and the temps aren't alarmingly high.

I'm not sure about the MAX2, but with the MAX3 the temps are way of normal temps.
Sometimes the motherboard reports 10c higher as the real temp. Try to get some extermal temp reading like the digidoc e.g.

I have an IT7 Max... and i find it does run a litle bit warm.. since switched to P4G800-E,

I'm from BC... it is beatiful here.. but the mountains get in the way of the view.

thnx for replies.i could put a temp probe by cpu,but it could only sit by heatspreader.i am going to take the block off and see what the as3 looks like,if the block is making complete contact.i think that this board is reading high.as for the views, here in flat ole saskatchewan, the views go on forever.
