Hydrae WB
Hi to all.
A while ago already images of the block could be seen in these forums, but recently I have finished an article on their construction if to somebody it interests him. It is not in English, i´m sorry, my English is very, very bad , but you can see some pics. Article Hydrae photo gallery |
Wow that is a beautiful block!
|
with Artistic craftmanship like that, who needs english :D
|
that´s a beatifull peace of work... hehehe and i can read the article (i´m portuguese, :D )
|
seen it before, but im still amazed :)
|
not only is the appearence and design... just terrific, but the inginuity and craftsmanship to create it is incredable. it's truely art. I (and I believe many others) struggle to just create a simple design and follow it up with a block. but to be able to design and manufacture something like that is amazing.
|
I could have sex with it.
:D |
You can get surgery for that sort of "inadequacy", killernoodle :P
|
Thank´s all and thank you trit187. The pain is that many details about construction, only can be appreciated reading the article. Also there are others that I didn't write for not lengthening it too much.

I'd like to read it but I'd need to learn portuguese. |

The portuguese and the spanish language are similar, but I wrote it in spanish ;) Thank´s for the link superart. I hope that translator is enough. If I find a better translator, I will write it here |
The pictures left me speechless.
Made with a 60€ Drill press, and a few simple hand tools from what I can gather. Awesome stuff... |

Yea, i tried portugese --> english first, that didnt work, so then i did spanish --> english, and that worked pretty well. |
(who needs word, i say only this)
|
That is a BEAUTIFUL block. How is the performance, though? Is that an original? I swear I've seen something exactly like that before...
|
No word are needed! Just the drooling face :D
|
What's amazing is this was done with tools no more complicated than a piller drill (drill press), grinder and dremel.
WOW   :dome:   |
Hi all.

The main tools that I have used, have been the cheapest drill-press than I could find with some accessory (sandpaper, polish, some mills) hand drill, hand saw and weld with a... blowpipe??....uhmmm sorry for my English again. |

Don't worry about your english... I can't speak or read spanish, so you're one language up on me. :D |

It's the best block I've seen since Paul Vodrazka's Phase II block. |

To quote Snowball in the good old movie Clerks "Oooh, that´s beautiful, man!"
A truly good looking water block. Impressive! Killernoodle, that would be a very interesting addative to the water (I use WaterWetter myself) but don´t You think it would affect WB performance? ;) regards Mikael S. edit: Correcting lousy spelling, leaving stoopid ideas as is |
