layout of water cooling components??
hello!
this is my first post.. i would like to know, which layout of componets is better an why?? pump -> radiator -> cpu block -> gpu block -> rezervoar -> and back to the pump OR pump -> cpu block -> gpu block -> radiator -> rezervoar -> and back to the pump |

Yeah. Been plenty of discussions/arguements about it. Personally I'm going for the first, but it's up to you. Try out both, see what's best (it may differ depending on what you have in your system, despite what all the theorists say).

As long as the res is on the pump input, otherwise it doesn't matter what order the other parts are in. Use whatever sequence gives you the shortest / straightest plumbing layout.

It will help a bit in the temps if you place res - pump - rad - cpu but we are talking about 1 to 2 degrees here......

Also, some setups (like mine) have the GPU block before the CPU block (it was the shortest path). has been proven to work just as well, really.

If its convenient go from pump to rad to proc etc... the reason being is to take out some of the heat that the pump may add to the water.

Route it the best way the tubes will fit. You will probably not see a difference in temps.

i had put pump -> radiator -> cpu -> gpu -> rezervoar -> and back to the pump!
in this setup, i used less tubing! thanks for help! |
