First attempt in modeling a block. Does this look like it might work?

Probably. The basic principle is there, but can you give some dimensions and thicknesses?

How thick is the base () measured from the base to the bottom of the water channels) How deep are the channels? How wide are the ridges left between them? etc.

That definately looks really thin. Stick with about a 1/4" bottom peice thickness for the most part.

Looks alright for starters, like the others have said.

BTW, nice CAD program you got there.

Jon

The whole block is 5 mm thick while the channels do to a depth of 4.25 mm

Can't tell about the block....however, the software you've got is the best around...

BTW, you don't need 4 pockets to design such a simple solid.

I am new to using this at home and at work and yes this is the best software for cad/cam. Hopefully I'll get more familiar with the app.

Be sure you do...
If you need any help, do not hesitate to ask...I am pretty familiar with it.
