looking for a 366@550

In need of a socket 370 celeron 366 that will run solid at 550. If its not solid at 550 I really cant use. Its going in my dads machine so it cant be finicky. thanks

I have a 366 that does 550 at stock voltage and will do up to 566 mhz with .1 voltage increase. I have been running it at 566 mhz since hmm, last christmas?

With a decent enough price, I might be able to get a faster celeron..

I have a Celeron PPGA 400@600 stable at 2.15V with a gorb. I'll sell the CPU with the retail box still with stock HSF for $50 shipped. I'll throw in an MSI slocket for an additional $5 if you need it.

Thanks!

Hey slag,
I'll swap ya the 366 for a stable 533@600 at stock voltage. that will give you a bump and me a second 550 for a duely bord for my dad. Interested?

Sounds good. I would like to keep my existing heatsink/fan (assuming the older celerons like mine and the newer ones like yours both use the same heatsinks). I don't think my slocket adapter will work with newer celerons though so I would probably want to trade that so the exact trade would be processor and slocket for processor and slocket assuming you have a slocket and are not putting these on a bp6 motherboard.
If you dont need a slocket, then no biggie.
Let me know how this sounds. The slocket I have lets you adjust fsb and voltage. I think its an Iwill

done deal bud.
that 366 is a socket 370? right?
the 533 is a socket 370, it is not a new style (fcppga) its a ppga so just swapping the chips is all we need to do.IF this is acceptable we will just swap-em out

slag 12-01-2000 07:14 AM

yep, sounds good.
It is a socket 370.

Since you are running it at a 75 mhz bus, I take it that it wont work at a 100 mhz bus?

Email me @ slagdemon@hotmail.com

Thanks
