"Silver" Eheim 1250
Yes guys, didn't know what to do this weekend...
Since a long time I didn't like that ugly grey Eheim 1250 in my beautifull Lian Li PC-70... So here's the result: Ligthly sanded, degreased, one layer of primer for synthetics, and three layers of silver paint... http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0216.jpg http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0217.jpg Idem, but prefilter in blue metallic paint: http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0218.jpg Not bad, although I say it myself: http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0219.jpg Outside in the sun, with the 90° PVC turns treated the same way: http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0220.jpg http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0221.jpg http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0222.jpg Inside again on the kitchen table (you can't imagine what I can do on the kitchen table...:D ) http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0223.jpg http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0224.jpg http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0225.jpg Couldn't resist it again...:D CD :) |
Nice... you should pick out the Eheim logo at the top, unless it is mouted upsidedown in your case.

schweet!
...just hope that Bill doesn't spot the 90° inlet :D |

There are 12 (twelve) 90° turns in my loop, the two on the pump included... And my AquaCoil II cube rad counts 18 (eightteen) 180° turns... And I have still 3.35 LPM flow with a Eheim 1250, a Cascade and a DD GF4 block. CD :D |
Part two
I mentionned before I had to paint my airtrap and my Fill & Bleed system too. Beautifull weather here but not very warm (for the paint) Nevertheless I did it : First, I had to change those sharp 90° copper turns on my airtrap by less sharp ones: http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0226.jpg Hardsoldered to the 15mm to 1/2" male adapters (pic of original turn for comparison): http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0227.jpg Big difference, isn't it? Now the paintwork: Before: http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0011.jpg After: http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0228.jpg The Fill & Bleed system: Before: http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0012.jpg After: http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0229.jpg http://users.skynet.be/turbokeu/myco...0/pict0230.jpg Just have to mount everything into the case when the paint is dry... CD :) |
Where did you get the clear tube for your res from? I have been to my local hardware stores (Ace and Orchard) and they don't carry it.
Also what kind of mods have you done to the intake port of the MCP300? I have not seen that kind of attachment on one. Thanks |

It cost me about 27 Euro/meter (32.5us$). Since the tube is only 10cm long I paid 2.7 Euro (3.25us$). The pic with the Sicce Idra (=same as MCP300) is quite old, about 2 years ago. I had to seal the pump house with silicone sealant... Anyway that pump was so noisy I throwed it in the trash bin...(together with my two Sicce Nova's which were also that noisy) Using a silent Eheim 1250 now. CD :) |
Nice, Turbokeu, as always!
eXacto, I'm lucky to have a company called Tap Plastics as a local store. But, they are on the web with all the stuff you need: http://www.tapplastics.com/ |
