New case time
 

Hey guys i'm looking for a new case. Want to spend under 100$ . I want to do as little moding as possible.

So i was looking for a case with a rear 120mm fan area. I believe that the blackices should fit in that space and require almost no modding.


Anyone have any experiance.

I too have been eyeing cases with 120mm fan mounts. For some time I have been thinking of going with the antec lanboy. http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...129-145&depa=0 It would be sort of crowded for watercooling but its small and light weight, just got to newegg and search for 120mm under the case section and see if you like any of those cases? All other cases i've used for watercooling i've had to modify. Anyone else have Recommendations?

I would second the reccomendation of the Antec Super Lanboy. It has both a 120mm intake and exhaust, and from what I have heard, It runs very quiet. If memory serves me right, the front intake fan is uv blue, and has a side window, so for modding you would be set.

Antec Sonata and P160 have front & rear fan mounts, though they are a bit more expensive.

Antec's SLK3700 is their cheaper unit w/ 2 120mm fan mounts.

I use an AMS Gtower case, look it up at www.cooltechnica.com

Great case.

If you can find an antec sonata without a PS, youre good to go. Otherwise, you get a great power supply with the case.

Sonatas have a really nice paint job and excellent hard drive storage. I really liked to work on my friends sonata.

The lanboy is to small . I need 4 drives plus i have a full water cooling rig. DOn't think it will fit in there well.

the ams is really expensive. I was hoping for 80$ish.

The new Lian-Li is spendy, but I think worth it

Lian-Li I think has done a real dandy one here. Not only is it aluminum and sealed up for quiet, but the layout is completely reversed.

As you can see in the photo, the motherboard mounts on the other side, upside down compared to other cases. This would let you cool your CPU with H20 very well, as the CPU is not sitting high above where pumps usually go. And the obvious spot for the radiator would be about three inches from the waterblock. Pretty tight.

I'm wondering if i can fit the rad with a fan in there . Anyone have any experiance with these guys ?

Are the front drive cages on the bottom removable ?
