Upgrade Via Aqua 1300?
Hey, just want ti get some suggestions from people who may have used a Via Aqua 1300 and upgraded. I bought two last summer to be safe and they served some what well there purpose, one broke rather quickly and was used for parts for the second which with some ties and whatnot has lasted a year but just recently the little rubber stoppedrs on the input and output barbs have both started to leak, most likely due to the heat and dryness of a college dorm room in the winter. I can for now glue them so they don't leak but that requires the system to be somewhat dry which is a pain in the ass.
To the point, i was thinking a Hydor L30 due to it being similar size as the Via, but size somewhat matters due to this system being internalized in a Lian Li PC-62 that is the longest LL case. The pump reviews which i think seem to be atleast a year old compare quite a few of the common pumps, are there any new ones on the market i noticed that a lot of people are getting them from industrial vendors?. As a side not i was able to leave my system unchanged and running for 6 months straight so i can't argue. |
If not the L30 and you have size constraints it kind of kills the point of an Eheim 1250, so I suggest the MCP600.

I had 2 via aquas, both of them died within months of use. Both died of the impellor rattling and eventually failing. I guess you get what you pay for...
