Watercooling Case
Hi,
I really need to find a bigger Watercooling case. I currently have 2 hardrives(adding 2 more soon), 2 cdroms(adding 1 more soon), 1 Floppy, all my pci slots are used I have Einheim 1048 water pump, acrylic resvoir, clearflex tubing, JR-120 radiator with 120mm chrome fan. My current case is a Thermal Taker Xaser 3 case that does not fit the watercooling equipment. It comes with a ThermalTake PurePower 420w. Can you all find me a Case that will fit all this for a reasonable price($95?)? If the case doesn't have a powersupply, will my ThermalTake Purepower 420w fit in it? Also can the JR-120 and pump be easily put in the case with easeness? I would also like a case with a Window. Thanks. |
Look into Antec. I cant' find anything that fits your description, but this is pretty close.

Aww looks like a good case but I really want a Window. Thx though

I'm sure you can find one w/ a window...

Look at server cases. You'd likely have to put in your own window, but there are some big ones. I use a Maxtop 900 server case. It was $90.

AntiBling: What kind of shipping costs did you pay? I like it. I like it a lot. What are those fan mounts, two 120's and a 90?
|
120mm front and rear. The cost was $79 from newegg with $20 shipping for a total of $99. Its a real steel pig of a case. Not one for lan parties, but its ripe for stuffing full of watercooling gear. I'm not sure what the top fan size is. It comes with two plates for the power supply, you can use the one in the pic and mount it sideways or use the other plate and the supply lays flat. The drive cages are removable if you dont have a stack of drives to put in. One of these days I'll get around to posting pics of mine in the pic gallery. I'll try to do it this week on one of my days off.

Make a box for all your watercooling gear and put it either under or on top of existing case:
like so Or if you must fit it into case then it'll all fit in your Thermaltake I bet. The XASER3 is same internal design as the XASER 2 I have. There are a few rivets on the front of the frame that hold the hdd cage support in place. Drill them out to remove the bottom hdd cage. Then you cut a hole and can fit your heatercore np. Put 2cds in 5.25s (space for 2 more) put 2 other hdds in top hdd cage, take floppy drive and throw away (and get a USB thumb drive) :) I guess you could use floppy until you get 2 more hdds though :) |
