my apologies for not posting the webcast, but I had no idea it would be so informative next time I'll post in advance so sorry (for the testers, what - 2 people ? Derek and - in the future - Ben) |
Can you sum up the documents for us?:)
|
sure, found the archived webcast (www.eetimes.com BTW)

Summary:
Measuring analog signals is hard if you want accuracy. Here are some tips to getting the most out of your equipment: RTFM, RTFM. Just kidding, of course. :D BTW, there are a LOT of good webcasts on eetimes. National Instruments and several other mfgr's have some great tutorials. |
RTFM indeed
this is a hidden cost of eBay purchases, seldom include the manuals - and you can't do squat, with precision, without them |
Yeah, that's why it's so difficult for me to purchase on eBay: I cross-ref the p/n with the OEM, then see if they have a manual, before I consider purchasing it.
The Fluke 8840A I just picked up for example, has a manual on fluke.com. I nearly purchased a 24 bit DAQ unit by Cirrus, but the info was sketchy, and the software was nowhere to be found, even after emailing Cirrus (and they actually replied!). Thanks Bill. |
Almost forgot... I'm still trying to sort out what delta Sigma is all about: got any tips? No matter what doc I read, I just don't get it...
