I only got one screw out and then the others felt like they were going to snap my wrench in half. what gives, why are they so prohibitly tight? are they supposed to be like that? my maze4 screws were not nearly this hard to get off. im seriously afraid of breaking my wrench and not being able to put my block back together.

a good trick is to freeze it for an hour or 2, makes the metal from both the screw and hole shrink a miniscule amount, alot of times its just what youneed to break the bond and get the screws out.

I had the very same problem and ended up stripping one of the screws. I finally got it off by using a dremel to make a slice on the screw head so i could use a flathead screwdriver. Lets us know how the inside looks like since I had so very bad corrosion on mine.

qbert95: this is a brand new blocK I got in the mail yesterday. i thought i was going to go dually so i ordered another block. then i bought a $400 monitor and realized I was broke :rolleyes: i'm opening it so i can make the inside more interesting, possibly will swap it out with my current block next time my system goes down for repairs.

The screw also shrinks....

I'll tell you what, put a little WD 40 on the screw you took out and put it back in and tighten it. This will reduce the pressure on the remaining screws. Spray some WD 40 on the rest of the screws threads and let that seep in. Then un-tighten the rest and when you put it back together, use a little anti-sieze if you think it is necessary.
